On September 13, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Padget Electronics Private Ltd, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ASUS India Private Ltd. This agreement marks a significant development in the information technology sector, focusing on the manufacturing of notebooks.
The MoU signifies a strategic partnership between Dixon Technologies, a leading contract manufacturer, and ASUS, renowned for its high-quality technology products including motherboards and consumer notebooks. The collaboration is contingent upon finalizing definitive agreements with ASUS or its affiliates.
ASUS, established in 1989, is a global leader in motherboards and gaming hardware, and ranks among the top three vendors for consumer notebooks. The company is also known for its comprehensive range of technology solutions, including personal computers, monitors, graphics cards, and more.
Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “It gives us immense pleasure to partner with the iconic brand ASUS for the manufacturing of notebooks. We are delighted and encouraged by the trust they have bestowed on Dixon for this collaboration.”
Following the announcement, shares of Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd closed at ₹13,022.55, marking an increase of ₹175.70 or 1.37% on the BSE.
