Sydney Sweeney is brimming with excitement for the return of HBO’s “Euphoria,” which begins filming its third season in January. The actress, who portrays Cassie Howard, expressed her enthusiasm in a recent interview with People magazine. “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie,” Sweeney shared. “She is definitely one of the most special characters for me and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it.”
Sweeney is particularly eager to delve deeper into the more intense facets of Cassie’s character. “I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me,” she added, although she admitted to being kept in the dark about the season’s plot details. “Honestly, I don’t know anything about it,” she said when asked for any teasers.
In the previous season’s finale, Cassie’s emotional turmoil led her to a dramatic outburst on stage during her sister Lexi’s play, resulting in a confrontation with Maddy.
Beyond “Euphoria,” Sweeney has made notable appearances in “The White Lotus,” portrayed Reality Winner in Tina Satter’s “Reality,” and starred alongside Glen Powell in the popular 2023 rom-com “Anyone But You.”
