MTV has unveiled an exciting lineup for its 2024 Video Music Awards, with Blackpink’s Lisa, Halsey, Benson Boone, and Lenny Kravitz set to take the stage. The VMAs will be broadcast live from New York’s UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Joining the newly announced performers are Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Camila Cabello, and Rauw Alejandro. Boone, whose debut single “Beautiful Things” is a standout hit from his album “Fireworks and Rollerblades,” will be making a splash at the event. Halsey will perform a new track from her upcoming album, while Lisa is set to make her solo debut at the VMAs, following her recent successes with “Rockstar” and “New Woman,” featuring Rosalia. Veteran rocker Kravitz will return to the VMAs for the first time in over 25 years.

The VMAs, initially scheduled for September 10th, have been moved to September 11th due to the first presidential debate of the election cycle being set for the original date.

Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 10, followed by Post Malone with nine, largely due to his collaboration with Swift on “Fortnight.” Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, and Eminem each have six nominations, with Megan Thee Stallion and SZA receiving five each. Lisa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims are all nominated in four categories.

Chappell Roan is nominated for Best New Artist alongside Shaboozey, Boone, Roan, Swims, Tyla, and Gracie Abrams. Carpenter, despite her substantial recording history, is not in the running for New Artist, but may still be eligible for the Grammys’ new artist category.
