Bruno Mars made a spectacular return to Los Angeles on Thursday night, marking the grand opening of the Intuit Dome with a sold-out show at the newly-minted arena. The concert, his first in LA since 2016, set the tone for the venue’s debut, showcasing Mars’ signature blend of pop and soul despite the absence of a new album.

The 17,700-capacity Intuit Dome was filled with A-list celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis, adding to the evening’s excitement. Mars, known for his dynamic live performances, did not disappoint, delivering an electrifying set that included fan favorites such as “Finesse,” “Versace on the Floor,” and “Uptown Funk.”

The highlight of the night came with an unexpected duet. Lady Gaga joined Mars on stage for a passionate performance of their new single “Die With a Smile,” adding a memorable twist to the evening. Gaga, dressed in a ’70s-inspired outfit similar to her music video look, complemented Mars’ cowboy hat, creating a visually striking performance.

Despite some early technical issues with the arena’s app and a brief delay caused by a malfunction, Mars’ show proceeded smoothly. The pop superstar kept the energy high with a seamless flow of hits and engaging stage presence, managing to keep the audience on their feet until midnight.

Mars’ setlist spanned his greatest hits, supported by an all-star band that also performed as dancers. The concert’s visual elements, including synchronized lights, enhanced the overall experience, making it a night to remember.

Following this landmark performance, Mars will take the stage for a second sold-out show at the Intuit Dome, which is set to host a range of artists in the coming weeks, including Olivia Rodrigo and Usher.
