Skai Jackson, the 22-year-old actress known for her role as Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel sitcom “Jessie,” was arrested on Friday at Universal Studios Hollywood following reports of a domestic disturbance.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Jackson was taken into custody on charges of “spousal battery.” According to authorities, the actress was identified as the “primary aggressor” in the incident.
A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department stated that Jackson was transported to a West Hollywood police station for booking. The investigation is ongoing, with the case expected to be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for further legal proceedings.
Jackson rose to fame at the age of nine when she was cast in “Jessie,” a role she continued in the spin-off series “Bunk’d” for its first three seasons. The New York native has since expanded her acting career, appearing in projects such as Marvel Rising and the 2023 films “Sheroes” and “The Man In The White Van.”
