Travis Scott has been released from custody in Paris after spending 36 hours in jail. The rapper was detained early Friday morning following an alleged altercation with his bodyguard at the Georges V hotel. The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Scott was released without being charged, as the incident was deemed insufficiently characterized by prosecutors.

Scott’s arrest was reportedly triggered by tensions between him and his security team over inadequate protection from the paparazzi. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The French news agency Agence France-Presse and TMZ both confirmed his release and the dismissal of the case.

This arrest occurred nearly two months after Scott faced legal issues in Miami for alleged trespassing and disorderly conduct. Additionally, Scott made headlines in May when a brawl broke out between him and music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards at the Cannes Film Festival.

Despite the legal troubles, the 33-year-old rapper, also known as Jacques Bermon Webster II, remained a prominent figure at the 2024 Olympics. He was seen supporting Team USA at the men’s basketball semifinals game against Serbia at Bercy Arena, accompanied by fellow musician Quavo.
