The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are scheduled to appear on CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley to discuss their new social media initiative. The episode will air on Sunday, August 4.
In their conversation, the couple will address their concerns about social media’s impact on children and advocate for parents to take a proactive role in managing their children’s online experiences. Meghan, who shares two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with Harry, emphasized the importance of parental protection in the digital age. “All you want to do as parents is protect them,” Meghan said. “There’s a lot of work to be done in the online space.”
Harry echoed these sentiments, highlighting the urgent need for parents to be vigilant. “We’re just happy to be able to be a part of a change for good,” Harry remarked. “At this point, almost every parent needs to be a first responder. Even the best first responders might not detect signs of potential issues like suicide, which is a terrifying reality.”
The Sussexes have been vocal about their concerns regarding social media’s influence on mental health. In October 2023, they participated in a New York City panel with bereaved parents, advocating for tech companies to implement changes to safeguard mental well-being.

Their relationship with the royal family has remained strained since then, particularly after the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, which reportedly exacerbated tensions with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William.
