Dassault Aviation SA CEO Eric Trappier expressed apprehension regarding French political instability, citing potential challenges for aviation firms amidst ongoing supply-chain issues. Trappier highlighted uncertainties surrounding future government policies and taxation, which could deter foreign investments.

Speaking at a press conference following the company’s first-half results, Trappier emphasized Dassault’s focus on prioritizing production of Rafale fighter jets amid persistent supply-chain disruptions affecting the aerospace industry at large. He underscored concerns over prolonged supply-chain glitches and inflation impacting suppliers, necessitating Dassault’s intervention to support them financially.

The CEO mentioned that while the company’s order book remains robust, challenges in production and delivery persist. Trappier also noted opportunities for expanding Dassault’s supply chain through collaborations with Indian companies.

Amid these challenges, Dassault Aviation has hired 1,000 new employees in the first half of the year, with plans to add an equal number in the second half, primarily young talents.
