Los Angeles — Larian Studios, the developer behind Baldur’s Gate 3, has revealed comprehensive details about the much-anticipated Patch 7 and assured fans that more updates are on the horizon. In a detailed post on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam page, Larian outlined the extensive additions and improvements slated for Patch 7, scheduled for release in September.

Among the highlights of Patch 7 are updates to the split-screen functionality, introducing dynamic split-screen mode where players can merge screens when near each other, enhancing cooperative gameplay. Additionally, the update promises significant enhancements to Honour Mode with new Legendary Actions for creatures like the bulette and Malus Thorm.

One of the most anticipated additions is the official modding toolkit, allowing players to create and modify game content such as items, cosmetics, classes, races, dice skins, and user interface elements. This toolkit is set to empower the Baldur’s Gate 3 community to tailor their gaming experience more extensively than ever before.

The update also brings new evil ending cinematics, enriching the narrative for players pursuing darker paths in the game. Alongside these, comprehensive bug fixes are included, addressing issues related to Dark Urge playthroughs and improving interactions with origin characters like Wyll, Astarion, Lae’zel, Karlach, Gale, and Shadowheart.

Larian Studios, known for its whimsical approach to patch notes, teased players with a snippet referencing Michelangelo’s philosophy that “no great work of art is ever finished,” hinting at ongoing refinements and updates beyond Patch 7.

Baldur’s Gate 3, released in August 2023, has been widely acclaimed for its faithful adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons gameplay. While fans eagerly await Patch 7, Larian Studios has reassured the community that they can expect continued support and enhancements

despite earlier announcements ruling out DLC or a sequel in the immediate future.

The fifth and sixth Avengers films are “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Secret Wars,” set to release on May 1, 2026, and May 7, 2027
