Today, the Wawa Welcome America festival continues to bring free family fun to Philadelphia with Kidchella Music Festival and multiple free museum days. Here’s what you need to know about today’s events:
Kidchella Music Festival
What: Smith Memorial Playground is celebrating its 125th birthday with the Kidchella Music Festival. The event features performances by Alex & The Kaleidoscope, Johnny Shortcake, City Love, Ill Doots, and the Soundspace Performing Arts dance troupe. In addition to music, the festival includes art stations, fun giveaways, pre-show activities, and delicious treats.
When: June 21 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Free Museum Days
Historic Rittenhouse Town
What: Tour the 1707 Homestead, the first permanent home for the Rittenhouse family and the birthplace of David Rittenhouse. Eight generations of the Rittenhouse family lived in this historic structure.
When: June 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Print Center
What: The Print Center, located in Philadelphia’s historic Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, promotes photography and printmaking as vital contemporary arts through exhibitions, publications, and educational programs. Today, visitors can explore three exhibitions on view.

Christ Church Preservation Trust
What: Known as “The Nation’s Church,” Christ Church was attended by Founding Fathers like John Adams and George Washington, and other notable figures such as Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross. Visitors can explore the church and its burial sites.
When: June 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
