Qatari Delegation Highlights Cutting-Edge Solutions at IIFME
The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) has made its mark at the 14th International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME), currently underway in Kuwait until February 7. Led by QSC Manager Sheikh Ali bin Salman al-Thani, the Qatari delegation, comprising representatives from various educational institutions and inventors nominated by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), is showcasing groundbreaking innovations aimed at addressing pressing challenges in water quality monitoring, agriculture, and sustainability.
Among the notable projects presented by the Qatari delegation is Project AquaCare, an innovative system designed to monitor water quality in real-time, ensuring the safety of drinking water in homes and public spaces. Leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), AquaCare continuously tests water indicators and alerts users via telegram in case of deviations from safe levels. This pioneering solution not only promotes health and sustainability but also empowers individuals to safeguard water safety effectively.
In addition to AquaCare, the Qatari delegation is also showcasing innovative methods of growing crops underneath solar PV panels and harnessing wind energy, demonstrating the country’s commitment to exploring renewable energy solutions and sustainable agriculture practices.
Sheikh Ali bin Salman al-Thani emphasized QSC’s dedication to participating in the exhibition with stellar innovations, aiming to highlight the role of Qatari innovators and empower them to explore innovative solutions for challenges facing the Qatari community. By fostering collaboration, sharing experiences, and instilling self-confidence in innovators, QSC seeks to drive meaningful progress in environmental, climatic, and health-related issues.
