Canine of course finds himself in an extremely intense position as The Walking Dead season 11 prepares to return. Obviously he was once Leah’s canine, however at that point Daryl went along and Leah vanished, leaving Dog with another master. However, presently the canine finds his loyalties split between his two masters as they are secured struggle that seems destined to be resolved by one of them kicking the bucket (and that dead person will not be Daryl, considering that he’s relied upon to live on for a new spinoff show with Carol).
TWD fans obviously need Dog to continue being Daryl’s companion which means they’re pulling for Leah to be killed off. As devastating as it very well may be for Daryl to lose the lady he obviously still carries a light for, it surely would be better for himself as well as his friends for the Reapers danger and Leah herself to be dispensed with unequivocally. It will be interesting to see how much longer Leah lasts in season 11 as things escalate into more vicious struggle. The Walking Dead shambles its direction back onto AMC on February 20, 2022, however drops seven days sooner on AMC+.
It remains to be seen how all that plays out with respect to Daryl and Leah – and Dog – when season 11B arrives. Yet, Daryl and Dog’s adventures in the post-apocalypse are surely not finished, as teased by another image shared by TWD cinematographer Duane Charles Manwiller showing work being done on a scene also including Carol. A closer glance at Dog anyway reveals that this is not really the genuine Dog but rather a stuffed stand-in used while cameras are being set up. See the image in the space underneath:
Of course one of the season’s most dramatic developments was Daryl’s less-than-contacting gathering with his previous lodge companion Leah. While attempting to find an AWOL Dog, Daryl ended up being snatched by the mysterious and deadly Reapers and taken to their headquarters. It was there that Daryl at last stumbled upon the tragically missing Leah, presently an individual from the mobilized bunch drove by the threatening Pope. Daryl’s play then was to claim to join the Reapers himself to sniff out the area of their supplies and perhaps persuade Leah to leave with him. However, things soon got extremely tense as Leah killed Pope and assumed control over the Reapers, leaving things on a cliffhanger with Daryl escaping and rockets descending upon Maggie and the rest of his friends.
