The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are set to be a star-studded affair with a lineup featuring some of the biggest names in music. Among the headliners for this year’s ceremony are Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Camila Cabello, all of whom will bring their chart-topping hits to the stage.

Camila Cabello, making her return to the VMAs after a five-year hiatus, will grace the stage with her performance. Cabello, known for her hit single “Havana,” is also nominated for Best Pop for her latest album, C, XOXO. Her return is highly anticipated as fans are eager to see her once again light up the VMA stage.

Sabrina Carpenter, who has been dominating the summer charts with tracks like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” is also set to perform. Carpenter, who has received six nominations this year—including Artist of the Year—is slated to release her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, on August 23, just ahead of the awards show.

Chappell Roan, known for her breakout hit “Nonsense,” will also take the stage. Roan has earned two nominations this year, including Best New Artist, marking her growing influence in the music industry.

Other notable artists performing at the VMAs include rapper GloRilla and Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro. GloRilla is up for three awards: Best Hip-Hop, Best Collaboration, and MTV Push Performance of the Year. Rauw Alejandro is nominated for Best Latin, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography for his song “Touching the Sky.”

The VMAs are set to air live from the UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The ceremony promises a night of unforgettable performances and exciting moments as music’s biggest stars gather to celebrate their achievements.

This year’s awards show will be broadcast live, shifting a day earlier to avoid clashing with the U.S. presidential debate.
