The fourth quarter of 2023 witnessed a substantial increase in newly registered mining companies, contributing significantly to the city’s economic growth. Economic Growth and Diversification:

Vision 2030 Implementation:

The surge in mining registrations indicates a successful execution of Vision 2030’s goals, demonstrating the Kingdom’s resilience and adaptability in the face of global economic challenges.
Private Sector Employment:
According to the Chamber’s report, Medina secured the sixth position in the Kingdom for private sector employment, boasting a workforce of 430,634 employees in the third quarter of 2023. This thriving job market is crucial in propelling the city’s economic momentum forward. The data further revealed that approximately 84 percent of the total private sector workers in Medina are subject to social insurance regulations, ensuring comprehensive coverage for the labor force.
Saudi Nationals in the Workforce:
In a notable development, the number of Saudi nationals employed in the private sector within Medina reached 88,297 during the third quarter of 2023. This signifies a positive trend towards increased participation of local talent in the workforce. Moreover, 25 percent of these Saudi workers are covered by social insurance laws, emphasizing the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and rights of its citizens in the private sector.
