The reality TV star, 31, and her engineer fiancé, also 31, walked down the aisle in front of family and friends, sharing the good news to Instagram on Saturday. Lizzie looked stunning in a abstract wedding dress with gold sequin detailing and a dramatic collar as well as sheer panels.
She wore her brunette locks down in waves with glistening hairclips placed on one side. The beauty chose a warm makeup look with a plum matte lipstick and lots of peachy blush
Lizzie later changed into a two piece outfit for the reception, including a white, embellished bustier and flowing skirt. She wrote in one caption on Instagram: ‘Best. Day. Of. My. Life.’ while adding in another, ‘Some moments from the happiest day of my life’.
Her beau was dapper in a black suit paired with a matching dress shirt underneath and leather shoes. The pair couldn’t stop smiling as they exchanged vows at a beachside location in Sydney.
The couple had announced their engagement in August last year. Elizabeth revealed her happy news on Instagram, alongside a picture of the couple kissing. ‘Engaged to the love of my life. My everything. I’m so UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY,’ Lizzie wrote beside the image, before adding several celebratory emojis.
Elizabeth, who has been dating Alexander since late 2021, kept her beau’s identity secret for months – eventually revealing it at Easter last year. ‘As a whole, I’m incredibly private, I did reality TV a lifetime ago. I’m so protective over my partner and there are so many negative, gossiping people out there, that go out of their way to talk trash,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.
‘I get it. We have been together for a quite a while but I was letting myself enjoy it. Without others knowing on a bigger platform,’ she added. Lizzie rose to fame when she ‘married’ Sam Ball on Married At First Sight in 2019.
The army recruit was public enemy No. 1 during MAFS’ sixth season when he body-shamed his ‘wife’ on their wedding day. Elizabeth returned for another go and ‘married’ Seb Guilhaus on MAFS in 2020 and they dated for a year before splitting.
‘I have never felt a love like this so hopefully people can see why I have been so protective.’ Hitting back at her critics, Elizabeth insisted she had no regrets about hiding Alexander’s face, and said she ‘doesn’t need to justify herself’.
‘We have mutually decided to end our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend,’ they announced in identical Instagram post. In November, Elizabeth sent fans into a frenzy in when she shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram of herself locking lips with a mystery man.
‘Lizzie is the happiest and most confident she has been in a while, so it melts my heart seeing her so charmed,’ they added. Skilled in computer repairs, Alex has more than a decade’s experience working in the information technology and services industry.
Daily Mail Australia later revealed the man in the photo was Alexander Vega, a 31-year-old field service engineer based in Sydney. A source close to Elizabeth confirmed the news on December 1, saying: ‘They’ve been together for a few months but are keeping their relationship very low-key.’
