She recently said it’s been challenging following her split from Love Island boyfriend Luca Bish.  But Gemma Owen appears to be firmly focused on her career as the dressage rider, 19, revealed she is ‘in talks for her own reality TV show.’

‘Nothing is confirmed yet, but I’d definitely like to be back on TV soon.’ It comes following news in September that Gemma was reportedly being lined up to star in a new show about the lives of footballers’ daughters.

Speaking to Goss.ie at PrettyLittleThing’s Christmas Party in Dublin on Tuesday, Gemma said she hopes to be back on screen soon as she looks towards the future. She told the publication: ‘We’re in talks of potentially having my own TV show which would be really exciting.

All to come: Speaking to Goss.ie at PrettyLittleThing’s Christmas Party in Dublin on Tuesday, Gemma said she hopes to be back on screen soon as she looks towards the future. An insider told The Sun of the potential series: ‘This is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.

‘Lime is developing the concept now and ITV has shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.’ Elsewhere, Gemma revealed it’s been ‘challenging’ dealing with ‘people’s opinions’ amid her split from Luca.

Gemma’s appearance at the festive Pretty Little Thing bash comes after she announced her split from boyfriend Luca, who she met on Love Island this summer. Gemma and Luca split on several occasions before finally deciding to go their separate ways after they failed to patch things up on a make or break holiday.

She explained: ‘Having to deal with people’s opinions, and people thinking that they know what’s going on when they don’t, that’s been challenging. But overall, I’m doing OK. I’m getting through it and keeping busy.’

A source close to the couple told MailOnline of the split at the time: ‘Gemma and Luca have decided to part ways. ‘Their relationship hasn’t worked for the last few weeks, and they have come to the conclusion that it’s better for them both to end things now.

Gemma and former fishmonger Luca, who finished as runners-up on Love Island, called time on their romance last month. They were last pictured together on November 5 celebrating firework night, with Luca, 23, saying he had marked ‘another first’ with Gemma.

‘They hope to remain friends and will continue to support each other in everything they do going forward. ‘Love Island was a special time in their lives but sadly their romance hasn’t felt the same outside of the villa.’

Taking to Instagram to confirm the split, Gemma wrote: ‘To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for both of us right now.

‘We have been on such a journey together and have made some amazing memories which I will treasure. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their support for us as a couple during and after Love Island. ‘We will remain good friends and I wish nothing but the best for her.’

‘Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters. Love always, Gem x.’ Sharing his own statement on social media, Luca wrote: ‘I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways.
