They have only been dating for eight months after confirming their romance in December last year. And now Nick Kyrgios and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi are planning on having a baby.
During an Instagram Q&A, the tennis bad boy said he and his girlfriend will be trying for their first child next year. Nick was answering a baby question and replied with a picture of the pair on the beach captioned ‘Next year’ alongside a ring emoji.
Engagement rumours circulated about the lovebirds in May after another Q&A showed Nick hugging the interior designer, 22, with the caption, ‘Very soon,’ alongside heart and ring emojis.
However, Kyrgios’ management soon denied the pair who became an item in December last year after he split with long-time girlfriend Chiara Passari were engaged.
Nick and Costeen looked as loved-up as ever last Thursday as they holidayed in The Bahamas after his loss in the Wimbledon men’s final. He declared ‘it doesn’t get better than this’ as he soaked up the sun with his psychology graduate sweetheart at their five-star beach resort.
In a reel of photos he shared to Instagram, he gazed lovingly at the university graduate, who shared drinks with World No. 45 at the picturesque coastal location. The couple also got up close and personal with some local wildlife, including a cute piglet and a pack of hungry lizards.
The Bahamas getaway follows Nick’s crushing defeat to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon earlier this month. Following his loss, the controversial athlete said on Instagram he would be trading rackets for Caribbean sunsets by taking a break from the sport.
While Nick made history as an unseeded player surging his way to a Grand Slam final, he was shadowed by controversy the whole way.
He routinely flouted the All England Club’s all-white dress code and wore his favourite bright red basketball cap and shoes before and after matches – including when he received the runner-up plate from the Duchess of Cambridge.
He was also fined US$4,000 (AU$5,700) for swearing in front of the royal box in the final. It meant that while Nick had a mountain of support, he also had a tidal wave of detractors slamming him for his alleged unsporting behaviour.
