He’s the short-odds favourite to win the Gold Logie on Sunday night. And Hamish Blake looked quietly confident on Wednesday as he jetted into Sydney Airport with his wife Zoë Foster Blake and their children.
The Lego Masters host, 40, was rugged up for the brisk winter day in a black hoodie and blue jeans. He concealed his famous face behind a cap and face mask as he wheeled his carry-on luggage through the terminal.
Zoë, a former journalist and founder of successful skincare brand Go-To, wore a tan coat with matching pants for the family’s flight. The couple were joined by their children, son Sonny, eight, and daughter Rudy, four.
The sighting comes amid speculation Hamish will win the Logies’ highest honour during Sunday’s ceremony on the Gold Coast. Blake is the short-priced favourite to win the Gold Logie with odds of just $1.80.
The second favourite is Channel Seven host Sonia Kruger at $4, while MasterChef judge Melissa Leong is paying $5.50 for a win. The biggest outsiders are both former winners of the Gold Logie, with Tom Gleeson at $11 and Karl Stefanovic at $13.
Legendary Home and Away actor Ray Meagher has said he also thinks Hamish will walk away with the Gold Logie this year. It is Blake’s second nomination in 10 years.
