Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich will officially end their marriage in 2020. No longer a couple. Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich got a divorce almost two years after they said they were done.

Us Weekly can confirm that Hough, 33, and Laich, 38, got a divorce on Friday, June 10, after a judge ruled on the case. Details of the agreement have not yet been made public. TMZ was the first to tell the news.

The person who is good at ballroom dance filed the paperwork to get married in November 2020. Us confirmed in February 2022 that the approved process was moving forward, and Hough filed a Declaration for Uncontested Dissolution.

“The parties have signed a written agreement about their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support,” according to study documents we got.

The two people who used to be together got married in July 2017 and broke up almost three years later. “We have taken the loving and careful time we needed to come to this decision,” they said in a joint statement in May 2020.

“We love and respect each other a lot, and we’ll keep leading with our hearts from that place. We kindly ask that you show us kindness and respect our privacy from now on.” At the time, all we knew about the breakup was that it had been “coming for a long time” and that the two of them “argued a lot and just had different views on important things.”

Two months later, the Dancing With the Stars alum shared a cryptic quote on social media that seemed to reveal how she was feeling as she was getting over her breakup. “If you’re stuck, sad, worried, or feeling like there’s no way out, try taking your mind off of yourself and helping someone who has it worse than you. “Selfless acts of service give the giver more life force energy,” you could read in a passage on her Instagram Story in July 2020.

Even though there was some talk about them getting back together after they broke up, Laich moved on with Icelandic athlete Katrn Tanja Davsdóttir. Since she ended her marriage, the actress from Footloose has been seen with rumoured lovers Ben Barnes and Charlie Wilson.

Derek Hough, the Utah native’s brother, told Us in October 2020 that he was trying to be a supportive presence for both Julianne and the retired hockey player. “That’s all you want for the people you love and care about. “All you want is for the people around you to be happy and for you to help and serve them,” Derek, who was 36 at the time, said at the time.

“And that’s the real point. When I’m most happy, it’s when I’m helping or serving other people. And sometimes, all I’m doing is holding a spot for someone.” “I think that’s what we all want, right?” said the choreographer. All we want is for our family, friends, and everyone else to be happy. And if we can help with that, we’re happy to.”
