Blac Chyna is now reportedly under criminal investigation for battery just days after losing her $108 million defamation lawsuit against the Kardashian Jenner family. According to news, the alleged female victim, Sequoya King, claims that Chyna ‘damaged her phone and kicked her in the stomach’ during a physical altercation at a bar in Los Angles early Friday morning. LAPD sources told the outlet that Chyna is currently being named as a suspect and the battery claims are being investigated by law enforcement.
The victim claimed to TMZ that the incident between herself and Chyna was a verbal dispute that eventually turned physical. She alleged that Chyna had initially gotten upset because she was convinced that fellow bar patrons were recording her without her permission.
King claims that Chyna then directly accused her of ‘using her phone to record,’ though she denies ever recording the rapper. As per King’s version of the events, their verbal back and forth escalated to a physical level when Chyna allegedly snatched her cellphone out of her hand and damaged it by throwing the device to the ground.
King also claimed that Chyna charged at her and ‘kicked her in the stomach, causing her to fall down.’She alleges that the altercation came to an end when Chyna’s posse pulled her away from King and into a vehicle.
Chyna’s reported new legal woes come just days after she lost her $108 million case against the Kardashians, which she’s since vowed to appeal. She had accused Kim Kardashian, her sisters Khloe and Kylie Jenner and their mother, Kris Jenner, of making statements that ruined or defamed her reputation and of plotting to get her TV show Rob and Chyna axed.
All four of the women testified during the nine-day trial. Kim was later dropped from the defamation part of the suit. On Monday, the jury returned a verdict that, while it did not completely exonerate the billionaire clan of any wrongdoing, it still awarded Chyna no damages at all. The Los Angeles jury found that none of the members defamed Chyna, nor did any interfere with her contract by convincing to cancel her reality show Rob & Chyna.
After about 10 hours of deliberations, the jurors decided on the long jury form that the Kardashians often acted in bad faith, finding that they were not justified in telling the executives and producers of Rob & Chyna that Chyna abused their son and brother Rob Kardashian. But they found that it had no substantial effect on Chyna’s contract or the fate of the show, and she was awarded no damages.
Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani said that based on her reading of the verdict, ‘the jury found that Chyna had not physically abused Rob Kardashian,’ and ‘the jury found that all four defendants had intentionally interfered with her contract with the E! Network.‘We will appeal on the remaining questions,’ she added.
Chyna sat in stunned silence as the court clerk announced their decision. Her mother has now launched a GoFundMe to try and pay for her daughter’s appeal. She is seeking $400,000.The Kardashians, meanwhile, were ‘exuberant’ at the news, their lawyer Michael Rhodes said. They were not in court, because they were attending the Met Gala in New York City.
