The 55-year-old actress has been dating the 51 year old musician since 2020, though they both recently discovered they were guests on Ellen’s first season, just a few months apart, back in 2004. While Halle Berry is happily involved with musician Van Hunt, the actress poked fun at Ellen for not arranging a meeting sooner.
Ellen mentioned, ‘I think you were on like two months later or something,’ as Berry joked, ‘You could’ve saved me three marriages.’Berry was married to pro baseball slugger David Justice from 1993 to 1997, singer Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005 and actor Oliver Martinez from 2013 to 2016.She shares 13 year-old daughter Nahla Ariela with model Gabriel Aubry, who she was with from 2005 to 2010, and eight-year-old son Maceo with Martinez.
Berry, who is promoting her new movie Moonfall, in theaters February 4, joked that Ellen could have saved her ‘three marriages’ if she had arranged a meeting nearly two decades earlier.Hunt made his first Ellen appearance in early April 2004 with Berry making her Ellen debut in late May 2004, which Ellen mentioned to the actress.Berry said ,‘We’ve talked about this, he and I, actually, a few days ago, when I knew I was coming here,’.
The actress was also asked how her son was doing, and Berry said he was, ‘fantastic,’ but when asked what he’s into now, she said, ‘Cursing.’‘He’s on a tear right now. I said to his pediatrician, “Is this a problem? He won’t stop cursing” and he said, “No let him curse it up, have no reaction and just let him curse it up.” So he is cursing it up,’ Berry said.
She said his newfound affinity for cursing, ‘started during COVID,’ with Ellen joking that, ‘a lot of us were cursing in COVID.’Berry also played one of Ellen’s favorite games, Burning Questions, where she revealed her most memorable movie kiss was with Hugh Jackman, though it never made it into one of the X-Men movies, and dispelled a rumor that she has six toes.
