A leisure manager has swum around Paignton Pier for the ultimate time in a very year-long challenge.

Allie Dart, from Brixham, was joined by dozens of supporters for the Allhallows Eve finale.

The 44-year-old set herself the challenge of swimming round the renowned pier 365 times.

“I managed it on a daily basis bar 5 days once we had extremely atmospheric condition – wherever i’d have had to possess been reclaimed,” she said.

“One day the beach was closed because of 2 warfare 2 hand grenades obtaining washed up – as luck would have it that was the day the surf was therefore unhealthy.

Allie completed the ultimate swim on Sunday in Allhallows Eve costume.

Her route is five hundred metres (0.31 miles) and up to now she has clocked 181.8km (113 miles).
