Kelly Rowland sported a stylish monochrome look as she attended a meeting in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon. The 41-year-old former Destiny’s Child star wore a collared tie-front button up shirt and a pair of matching white high-waisted shorts.
Her raven tresses were styled long and straight and she rocked a flattering light pink lip. She juggled a reusable water cup and her cellphone in hand as she approached her parked vehicle.
Later in the early evening on Friday, the singer took to her Instagram Stories and posted a throwback snap of herself getting her hair styled by Ty Hunter. ‘I stumbled on this photograph,’ the Independent Woman star revealed across the bottom of the photo.
She strolled across the parking lot in a pair of brown gladiator sandals and with a green purse slung across her body. With the sun glaring down and the temperature in the high 80s Fahrenheit, the Georgia native also sported stylish mirror sunglasses.
In the picture, Rowland can be seen kneeling down on a chair as Hunter works his magic on her tresses, which were in a sort of short bob-cut at the time.
The hairstylist started working with Destiny’s Child back in the early days of the group, and continued on and helped Beyoncé Knowles create her visual identity as a solo artist, according to W Magazine.
Despite going their separate ways, Rowland, Knowles and Michelle Williams have reunited several times, including at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and 2018 Coachella festival.
Destiny’s Child released their fifth and final studio album, Destiny Fulfilled, back in 2004, and then officially broke up two years later.
Considered among the greatest musical trios of all time, Destiny’s Child has sold more than 60 million records as of 2013. Rowland also released four studio albums as a solo artist beginning with 2002’s Simply Deep. Her last full length LP, Talk A Good Game was dropped in 2013.
Just last year she released the EP, K, which featured the single Flowers. She has been married to her husband Tim Weatherspoon for more than eight years, and the couple are the proud parents of sons Titan, seven, and Noah, one.
