Global soccer icon Lionel Messi is launching a production company named 525 Rosario, in collaboration with Smuggler Entertainment. The company is named after Messi’s hometown in Argentina and will be based in Miami and Los Angeles. It aims to develop and produce premium TV shows, films, live sporting events, and branded content, including commercials for athletes, with Messi as a focal point.
Tim Pastore from Smuggler Entertainment will serve as CEO of 525 Rosario, which will operate under the supervision of the Messi family. “Entertainment has always been a passion for me, whether that be on the pitch or in other areas,” said Messi, who currently plays for Inter Miami. “I’m really motivated by the opportunity to pursue the project we created with Smuggler Entertainment and to expand it further to create content and experiences on a global scale.”
Pastore emphasized that 525 Rosario will “highlight and build upon everything Leo Messi stands for,” focusing not only on premium content but also on community outreach and family-oriented initiatives.
Messi joins a growing list of sports legends transitioning into entertainment, following in the footsteps of figures like David Beckham, LeBron James, and Steph Curry, who have all established their own production companies.
