In exciting news for K-drama enthusiasts, Girls’ Generation’s Yuri is making her return to television alongside acclaimed actor Go Soo in the much-anticipated legal drama Parole Officer Lee Han Shin. Scheduled to premiere in October 2024, the show will air on South Korea’s tvN network.
According to Herald Pop’s August 26, 2024 report, Parole Officer Lee Han Shin will feature Go Soo in the titular role of Lee Han Shin, a stringent parole officer tasked with making crucial decisions about inmates with dubious backgrounds. His character is known for his unwavering commitment to justice, particularly when dealing with those who attempt to manipulate the system using money and influence.
Yuri, renowned for her dual success as a K-pop star and actress, will play Ahn Seo Yun, a top detective in the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit. Her character is celebrated for her intuitive and detailed approach to solving crimes, driven by a deep-seated sense of justice.
Directed by Yoon Sang Ho, known for his work on River Where the Moon Rises, and penned by Park Chi Hyung, Parole Officer Lee Han Shin promises to deliver a gripping narrative of legal drama and personal integrity.
The cast also includes Baek Ji Won and Lee Hak Joo. Baek Ji Won will portray Choi Hwa Ran, a former loan shark with a transformation story, now dedicated to supporting Lee Han Shin’s efforts. Lee Hak Joo will play Ji Myung Seob, a wealthy and arrogant chaebol who often clashes with the show’s protagonists.
