Adam Driver recently shared heartfelt insights into his family life, revealing the special bond between his children and how becoming a father of two has reshaped his work life. In an appearance on the Smartless podcast earlier this year, Driver, known for his roles in House of Gucci and Star Wars, discussed the protective nature of his elder son towards his younger sister.
Driver, who typically keeps his family life private, spoke about how his six-year-old son has taken on a guardian role for his eight-month-old sister. “I feel like we gave him six years of attention, and he’s totally fine,” Driver said. “We adore protective older siblings, and indeed, any protective siblings that love one another. It’s always a lovely sight to see.”
The actor also reflected on how fatherhood has impacted his career. Driver noted that while he worked extensively throughout his 30s, his perspective has shifted since having children. “Now that I have two children, I’m attempting to change the way I work,” he admitted. “I can’t and don’t want to be gone for that long.”
Driver and his wife, Joanne Tucker, who have been together since their college days and married in 2013, prefer to keep their children’s lives private. Despite their public personas, they have chosen not to disclose their children’s names or birth details.
As Driver prepares for the release of his upcoming film Megalopolis on September 27, 2024, it’s clear that his role as a father is a significant influence on his approach to work and life.
