Kit Harington has made an unexpected return to the Game of Thrones universe, delighting fans with a special appearance in a new video for the mobile game Game of Thrones: Legends
In the surprise clip, the 37-year-old actor channels his iconic role as Jon Snow, declaring, “Winter is coming. I’m ready to forge my own destiny. I’ve composed my strategy, refined my tactics. I’ll solve every puzzle, overcome every challenge, to defeat the deadliest threat we’ve ever faced: the Long Night.”
The new mobile game invites fans to immerse themselves in the world of Westeros by building and leading their own houses. Players can strategically assemble teams of champions, equip them with weapons, and tackle formidable foes in both story mode and real-time raids against other players.
Harington expressed his excitement about his cameo, stating, “The creativity and care taken to create Game of Thrones: Legends is obvious, and it feels completely natural to jump back into Westeros for this game. This is a true love letter to the fans, of whom the franchise would be nothing without, and I’m honored to pay tribute to them in this new campaign.”
His return is a nod to his beloved character Jon Snow from the original HBO series, which concluded in 2019 after eight acclaimed seasons. The end of the show was particularly emotional for Harington, who shared his feelings in the documentary The Last Watch. Reflecting on his departure, he said, “I feel like my heart is breaking. I love this show more than, I think, anything. It has never been a job for me. It’s been my life, and this will always be the greatest thing I’ll ever do and be a part of, and you have been my family. I love you for it, and thank you so much.”
