People have not yet recovered from the Delta and Omicron variants of Coronavirus that another new problem has arisen. Research has shown that a subtype of the Omicron variant is more contagious than its parent variant. This claim has been made in a new study conducted in Denmark.
Study done in 8541 houses
According to the report, researchers from Denmark’s Statens Serum Institute did this study by visiting 8541 homes. The prevalence of the parent variant (ba.1) and its subform (ba.2) of Omicron was investigated during the study.
Omicron’s sub-variant more dangerous
Research has found that the BA.2 variant of Omicron engulfs people with a firepower of 39 percent. Whereas in the case of Basic BA.1 this figure is 29 percent. That is, the sub-variant of Omicron is more dangerous than before. BA.2 is also believed to be the reason for a large number of people getting infected in a short time.
Risks to those not vaccinated
The researcher doing the study found out in the investigation that people who did not get the vaccine were more likely to be infected with ba.1 and ba.2 of Omicron variants than those who had received both doses or booster doses of the corona vaccine. The probability is very high
